Fluxiation

Posted On: May 24, 2006 - 10:06pm by groovebunny

Mon dieu! I feel in flux. Not in acid re-flux...but as in unrest. Lately, I just wish I knew all the right things to do and the right things to say.

And if I've called you lately and hung up before you can answer or before leaving a message...it's the flux.

I finally am calling these finished. I've been working on them since the beginning of April and have been contemplating them each night after dinner.

Also...I posted this fun cubist inspired painting on my pics on MySpace, but it was deleted by the MySpace police! You would think with all the young girls they have on that site with actual photos of themselves all pouty lipped and showing their hoo-hoos, a painting of imaginary boobs and nipples wouldn't ruffle any feathers. But obviously, this offended their no-nudity censors. Sheesh! I feel like my first amendment right to freedom of speech and my right to paint armless nudes who can't pick the roses they're painted with because they are armless have been trampled on.

And last but not least, I think Peart has a huge crush on me because he got me a tres cool Wacom tablet for Mother's Day! Now that work has calmed the fuck down and I'm not working 36 hours of overtime a week...I've a chance to play around...

Current project sans the mess of paint...

Beginning the process after scanning sketch...

to it's current, yet unfinished state...

And.

And.

And.

I'm thinking Catalina Islands this year for the great escape. Cause the good Lordy knows I can use an actual fantastical escape. Oh reality. Why are you so cruel?

Lastly, I've decided that when I get older, if my hair starts to fall out, I'm totally gonna get the weave thing happening. My sister says she'll just shave her hair off and wear a turban if her hair starts to fall out. And I really should make a bet on that with her because that's easy to say when you have a full head of hair. It's just that I've noticed over the weekend...a few of my aunts have the thinning hair going on. I refuse to go gently into that good night and age gracefully! In fact...if the weave, the boob job and the tummy tuck come in one of those package deals, I'm taking it!

And lastly-er...check out Disco's new podcast thingie. It's the best nonsense, and reading of US Weekly I've heard in a long time! Disco has a voice that needs to be on air for real. And his co-podcaster in crime, Veronica, has a voice that makes me want to eat lots and lots of Oreos it's so sweet!

I know...that was all so random. Blame it on the fluxing.

Night lovelies.
