Call Me Illogical & Misguided. Just Don't Call Me Crazy.

Posted On: February 25, 2006 - 2:13am by groovebunny

Ah yes, and somehow I made it through the week.

If it wasn't the flu and then a horrendous cold brought on by a heatwave followed by artic weather, followed by another heatwave, it was the increasingly hostile co-worker working her voodoo to instill within moi cranium a migraine the size of New Jersey.

Okay so maybe the size of New Jersey is a bit much. But seriously the headache was much too large to fit into even my overly large melon.

So lastnight, instead of working on the humungous spreadsheet I should have been working on for a big project I have due on Monday, I was Googling moiself. Not moiself in terms of my real identity, but my online persona of Groovebunny, which is pretty much...me. Usually on Google I find alot of links to comments I've left on other folks' sites since I used to be a the equivalent of a social butterfly in comment cyberspace. If you had an opinion about something or shared some horrific experience you just experienced or recently experienced, I was there to validate your opinion, or validate the horrificness of your experience, or worse yet, share one of my most horrific moments in life. Because isn't that what commenting is all about? You tell me something horrible and I tell you something equally or more horrible-er, in which most cases the closest people around me don't even know?

So anyways, during the Googling, I actually found something that someone wrote in response to a comment I made on Tuckle's site. He calls me "illogical" and says I have a "misprioritized worldview"...but who is this guy to make judgement on me? Especially since taking the time to actually read his site, it has "someone really needs to take a nap" written all over it.

By the way, the entry I had responded to had to do with a move to block homosexuals and bi-sexuals from becoming foster parents to orphaned children in Texas. If it's illogical and misprioritized that a loving and nurturing home could be found for a lot of these orphans who are "American citizens", I don't care if you're straight, gay, have three eyes on your face or a tree growing out of your butt. If you can provide a home for kids who would otherwise get lost in the system, and are willing and able to help these kids through the problems and trauma they've gone through in their still very short lives, you have my full support.

I guess to be logical and priotized in this world, one has to be able to eat everything up that the Bush administration supports with eyes shut and mouths wide open?

Yum. Mierda.

Yeah. Well I prefer not to.

I was going to leave a comment on this dude's site to explain that a lot of my views of the world are conservative and liberal depending on the issue, but then I noticed he had a record of "O" comments on his site and I really didn't want to ruin that record, cause you know, I'm very thoughtful like that.

Anyways, that was entertaining for me for about 30 minutes.

So that's all my blabbering for now. It's a beautiful day outside and I have lots of gardening to do. Have a beautiful one ya'll!

While I agree that children deserve loving homes, you simply assume that "everything will be alright" if gays adopt and raise children. The truth is, NO ONE KNOWS what the impact on children will be when being raised by gays (i.e., not the traditional family). Perhaps, children will respond very favorably to single gender parents. It may very well be that two mothers or two fathers will be a good, solid substitute for children in foster homes. But you don't know this, and you should not self-righteously pretend that you do.

Incidentally, insulting people and shifting the topic to the Bush administration is really weak.

"The truth is, NO ONE KNOWS what the impact on children will be when being raised by gays (i.e., not the traditional family)."

Seems to me over the past few months I've read numerous stories about kids being adopted or placed in foster homes with straight couples who then abused them and in some cases killed them. Just because a gay couple takes in a foster child doesn't mean the kid is going to turn out gay or will be abused. Also, I never said that I assume everything will be allright. There are never any guarantees with anything. My point is that if there are people out there willing and able to provide loving homes, I don't care if they're gay or straight.

Also, your friend is the one who was insulting. If he wanted to address me like a human being he could have posted his comment on my site instead of dedicating an entire post of his replies to comments on someone elses site and raving on like the great saviour of conservative views. And since the whole thing started with a move to block gays and bi-sexuals from being fosters parents by the Bush administration, it was not a shift from topic at all.

Anyways, thank you for your views and for stopping by.

Yup. You're crazy.

Admit it. You just couldn't come up with enough of a cogent response to leave a comment.

And "tolerance" is a funny term, especially when it's in the convenient LIbEral form of "if you're not tolerant of MY views, you're wrong". I don't pussy-foot around this term, but I can say that I'm just as tolerant as you are.

You mean to your post with the raving, scary talk? The one where you threaten people who don't share your views? If that's not how you intended your post to read, well, it certainly reads that way.

Also...where did I say you were wrong in your political views? My beef is with you not addressing me directly and instead dedicating a post on your site in which you basically tell everyone I'm illogical and have misguided worldviews without reading my site to see what I'm about. And my writing about that on my site is not the same as what you did because if you noticed...I actually linked you knowing you would find this.

Okay, you've obviously got a lot of this wrong.

1. It wasn't me who posted the original post, it was TioJaime. If you actually read my blog, you'd see that pretty quickly. Multiple-author blog.
2. When did we ever directly threaten people? Never. I thought so.
3. Raving scary talk? I could argue that you have cornered the market on frighteningly mind-numbing, simpleton viewpoints. But arguing about that with you is pointless. LIbEral minds love to sacrifice sanity for the sake of consistency, even if that consistency is complete and utter mind diarrhea. Just look at how many non-sequitors you love to spatter all over the place.
4. Finally (for now), not addressing you directly isn't my problem. If anything, it was the tuckle site's problem. If you read the post, you'd see that our comment wasn't posted, and for information's sake, TioJaime posted the comment that was evidently censored. And for chrissakes, only 1/8th of the post was dedicated to you and your comment, Miss Ego. So, I'm addressing you directly right now. What more do you want? If you want a flame war, you're cordially invited to troll on my site. In fact, I'd prefer it there--the shades of pink here are rather unpleasant. Until then, get bent.

This was going to be a nicer

This was going to be a nicer reply until I read your "get bent" comment. :)

Actually I did read your site. Unfortunately, I couldn't see through all the hate against Liberals spewed on that site to realize that there are actually two doofuses who post there. My error.

"If you read the post, you'd see that our comment wasn't posted..."

Oh I thought you were blaming this on your friend TioJamie. Now it's "our comment?" How's that for consistency and diarrhea? I love it when people think that just because they can throw "non sequitur" (and that is the way it's spelled...not non-sequitor) into a conversation as well as a few adjectives before a noun, that they are experts in writing. You should be a teacher!

And let's not talk about simpletons. The mere fact that all your comments include generalizations about "liberals" speaks volumes of your capacity of "tolerance" for any views that don't match your own. Oh wait..there's that word you don't pussy foot around with. Generalizations about any group of people and tolerance don't go hand and hand Mr.

Also, yes I know that Tuckle censored the comment. I "read" that on your site. And Miss Ego? Haha! Whose the one deluding himself that he's "winning the war on liberal elitists and hippies?" That line right there screams "legend in his own mind" and actually, it's kinda funny.

And it figures that you would invite me to a flame war on your site since you're all about war. But I'll have to pass on that Mr. Get Bent. I have better things to do than help increase the hits on your counter stats.

Have a nice day!

It sounds like this guy is one of them! You did the right thing not responding to him again in his comments. We used to have a saying...

You can't deal rationally with irrational people!

Hope you are doing well. Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Crazy! lol jk!

Ya know, some people are so extreme in their views that it makes it hard for them to be tolerant of anyone else's views just because it's different from theirs. Too bad there's too many people like that in the world today. And yeah, this guy needs to have some nap time!

Do you mind if I steal "tree growing out of your butt?" It gives me the giggles.

I hope you're having a beautiful one today too!
