Letters from the North

Posted On: December 15, 2005 - 9:51pm by groovebunny

Being a single parent is hard people. So when Christmas comes around, why not use whatever ammunition's at my disposal to help mold my little guy into the type of guy he should be molded into???

Here's a copy of the letter he's getting from Santa this year...hehe

December 15, 2005

Dear XXXXX,

I’ve heard you been a wonderful boy this year! The Elves, Mrs. Claus and I are very proud of you! Below is a list of great behaviors that have placed you on the Good List:

1. Helping your mommy by picking up your toys
2. Being courteous and apologizing when you hurt someone’s feelings
3. Doing your homework
4. Help your mommy in the morning by brushing your teeth
5. Letting Otis out when he has to go potty
6. Being a loving and kind human being

Thank you for being such a great kid this year. It makes my job a lot easier! And I’m sorry this letter is so late in the month. I had a lot of Bad List letters I had to send out to boys and girls who are getting coal in their stockings this year.

Love,
Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, the Elves and the Reindeer

P.S. Don’t forget to leave cookies and milk out for me on Christmas Eve. It’s a lot of work delivering presents and I need to keep my energy up! HO! HO! HO!

P.S.S. Also, remember when you have sleep overs to listen to your mommy and get to bed on time! Little boys who don’t get enough sleep don’t grow up to be big strong men. In fact they don't grow very tall at all. In case you’re wondering, that’s were all the tiny Elves who slave in my toy shop come from (children who don’t get enough sleep). And I’m pretty sure you won’t like wearing the leotards the Elves have to wear because they itch and also a bit tight in areas I won’t mention. HMAO!!!

P.S.S.S. And no more sneaking downstairs while Mommy is asleep and watching racy shows on HBO and Cinemax. I know you're a growing boy, but my goodness!!!

Such a wonderful idea, Charm. Your child is so fortunate to have such an intelligent and creative loving Mother. Happy New Year to you and yours and may 2006 bring you all the blessings you richly deserve.

Merry Christmas, Groovebunny!

That is the cutest thing ever. Nico is so excited he can barely stand himself. You know I think I always knew Santa wasn't real...

LOL Nat, sadly I always knew Santa wasn't real too. That's because as a little girl, we never had a fireplace, so ofcourse...Santa would have no way to get into our house to leave presents.

hrmmm

Imagine what your son will think when he gets old enough to realize you've been duping him. I think he'll be proud to have a momma who cares! :)

Actually Plain Jane, I was

Actually Plain Jane, I was just wondering if the little trick I've played on my son gets automatically moves me to the bad list? And I wonder what bad grown up girls get in their stockings...

All though I do not like

Blue (not verified)   |   December 16, 2005 - 10:30am

All though I do not like telling children about a fictional character like Santa is real, I am sure a letter like that from mom would be 1,000 times better

Actually Blue, he doesn't

Actually Blue, he doesn't believe in Santa. But most of his little friends do. Because he wants to fit in with his friends, he asked me to make sure Santa wrote him this year. I'm sure he knows where the letter is coming from. :)

Seriously, it's a rite of passage for young lads.

I say pump that Santa stuff for all it's worth! You can always get him therapy later.

LOL. Luckily he was able to

LOL. Luckily he was able to see the humor in the letter and said to me, "That Santa sure is a funny guy!" while winking. Maybe I'll get to save on therapy afterall. :)

oh goodness! HAHA!

soniclibra (not verified)   |   December 16, 2005 - 6:44am

Are you really giving that to him?? That is so cute! HAHAHA Your son is so very smart for his age, I am suprised he still believes

Yup I put it in the mailbox

Yup I put it in the mailbox and everything! As I explained to Blue, he doesn't really believe. But a lot of his friends do so he wanted to fit in with them this year since they all were getting letters from Santa. :)

Now I know...

Dick (not verified)   |   December 16, 2005 - 5:49am

I was wondering why I keep getting lumps of coal. It has to be all of that Skinamax theater I watch late at night!

Such a good mom!

Well I found a way to keep

Well I found a way to keep him on the good list this year. I've had to finally abandon my bohemian ways and put the parental controls on the adult rated shows. lol
