I just have to say this once before my head explodes.
Jordis Unga's rendition of AreoSmith's Dream On on Tuesday night's show was akin to eating cockroaches off a sweaty, hairy man's butt. My ovaries dried up and fell out of my uterus and my dog got scared and tried to run out of the house and instead ran into the sliding glass door trying to get away from Jordis's screeching and vocal stumbling throughout the song. If anything, the song showcased the fact that songs with range is just not her forte.
Forgive me. But real singers have range baby. She has yet to prove that. Her past three performances have been mediorce at best.
And yet.
She.
Was not even in the bottom three tonight.
Fucking amazing.
While Marty did a powerful rendition of LiVE's I Alone ended up in the bottom three.
Fucking amazing.
And I fucking sincerely mean that.
But even further, Deanna sung the complete shit out the orignal tune she co-wrote with Ty. And Ty sung the complete shit out of Ike & Tina's Proud Mary. And yet, these were the other two that made up the bottom three.
Okay so don't get me wrong. I really don't think either Deanna or Ty are a good fit for the group. But neither is Jordis. And it's clear that the show has become a popularity show rather than voting for who performs the best from night to night. Jordis's past three performances have left me lukewarm. Lastnight's was ATROCIOUS!!! For her not to have been part of the bottom three and Marty taking her place instead, I'm sorry, it's no wonder our musical idols are pin heads like Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears.
